
The truth is This world is big and scary There is so much unknown And out of our control And so we clutch For some semblance of certainty Something that can ease Our anxious minds We’re quick To condemn or defend If only we can prove That our side is right We’re prone To grasp for power Because we cannot accept The limits of our humanity What if we could pause Long enough to recognize That reality Is seldom simple That beauty and brokenness So often coexist That truth Will be found in the tension
